The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis My rating: 5 of 5 stars "I am telling you your story, not hers. No one is told any story but their own." 4.5 ⭐... I remember this one being my favorite when I was younger. But ugh! I cannot get past how uncouth and tasteless a name like "Calormen" was on Lewis's part. What is more, it is such an unimaginative name for such an inventive author. From the perspective of an adult, that particular nomenclature decision was irredeemable, and it put a damper on the story itself. I am a sucker for stories in settings like this ( Arabian Nights fangirl that I am), so that is probably why I always loved this one so much. Also, I think you are great, Aravis, but "Cor" is most definitely not a nicer name than "Shasta." ❧ View all my Goodreads reviews.
