Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined by Stephenie Meyer My rating: 4 of 5 stars I have put off reading this book for several years because gender-benders honestly hold ZERO interest for me, and I was under the impression that it would be the exact same story as Twilight with gender-swapped characters. However, after Midnight Sun's release and rereading the entire series this year, the completionist side of my personality was sparked, and I was determined to get through Life and Death at long last. I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable the experience was! As one of the *potentially rare* people who never had a problem with Bella being a boring or "Mary Sue" protagonist in Twilight , I was surprised to find that I did think Beau was more entertaining and—dare I say—more amusing than Bella ever was. Maybe that was just because I was so used to the perspective of a teenage girl as opposed to that of a boy. Either way, I definitely laughed a lot more than I expecte
